POSITION: Moderate Disabilities Special Education Teacher
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Massachusetts teacher certification in Moderate Disabilities K-5 required.
- Licensed Reading Interventionist
- Experience in instruction with compliance and implementation of individual education plans.
- Knowledge of Massachusetts Special Education regulations.
- Knowledge of effetive reading strategies and programming to include dyslexia.
- Prior experience working with students with a range of disabilities.
- Experience implementing behavior support plans.
- Co-teaching experience preferred.
- Knowledge of language-based programs preferred.
- Possesses necessary skills to facilitate IEP meetings.
- Knowledge of Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
DUTIES:

Implements strategies as outlined in individualized education plans.

Effectively collaborates with grade level teachers to develop instructional interventions.

Abides by state statutes, district policies and regulations.

Attends meetings and performs duties as assigned by administrators or supervisors.

Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation.

Remains current on instructional practices in education.

Works to foster relationships with related service providers, paraprofessionals and general ed teachers.

Knowledgeable regarding Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.

Performs other duties as assigned.

SALARY: In accordance teachers' contract
